Closing A Gripper

Ive been reading and watching numerous videos on how to set a gripper. Which is the hardest and most respected way of closing a gripper? TNS? My focus has been to pick up the gripper and just try to close it without trying to figure out ways to assist or cheat close the gripper.

yes a no set is the hardest way to close a gripper. setting the gripper takes a lot of work don't get me wrong, but to close a gripper without an assisted set is the true test of closing strength.

familia5az,

You should come out to the AZ Cactus Grip comp this weekend. I noticed you are also in Tucson. You will learn more in a few hours than a year of training on your own.

Agreed! This is a great opportunity to meet many of the characters and get a lot of training and technique insight. AZ is home to many of the world's strong gripsters and many are coming plus it'll be a lot of fun!
