acree90
I'm sure some of you have seen this already since it happened in August, but I still think it is worth posting. These lifts are both world records in multi-ply, all-time best squat and all-time best bench in a full power meet. His lifts were 1265, 950, 785. he did the deadlift raw. I can't find the video of his deadlift, so if anyone can help me out that would be appreciated. I understand that some of these lifts may not look the best, but still thats a lot of f@#$ing weight he's lifting.
blueviper42
I just think its ridiculous when someone bench presses almost 200 pounds more than they deadlift.
raymo
I realize these guys compete in 2 completely different competitions, but I just would like to know what you think of this squat.
acree90
I just think its ridiculous when someone bench presses almost 200 pounds more than they deadlift. Well his bench was assisted and his deadlift was without a deadlift suit. I think its interesting he doesn't deadlift assisted. I realize these guys compete in 2 completely different competitions, but I just would like to know what you think of this squat. I think Lance hit depth better, but compared to other squats that I've seen of Donnie this is one of his better squats as far as depth is concerned. ScottW
I just think its ridiculous when someone bench presses almost 200 pounds more than they deadlift. Donnie has said in interviews that he based his deadlift attempts off what would give him exactly a 3000 pound total. He pulled well over 800 raw at the NERB meet five or six years ago so I'm inclined to believe he left a lot in the tank this meet.
bwwm
Most of what I have read says that a suit doesn't add that much to the deadlift (maybe 50 to 100 lbs?). However, I would think at that level competition, every little bit helps.

raymo
I have have never seen Lance squat in person but I have met him and he is one great guy.
bwwm
I was thinking back to some of the interviews I have read from Donnie. As I recall, he blew out some discs, and tore a bicep a couple years back, so maybe that's why he only deadlifts what he needs to to hit 3000.
