Norwegian Dude Training Grip

Hi there.

I've been reading on this forum for å while now, and I'm getting more and more interested in grip training.

I think my strength is thick bars(2" or thicker) cause I haven't got the hang of grippers yet.

My PB's:

Rolling Thunder- 100kg 220lbs on a brand new handle. Have done 107,5kg on a older handle.

Axle DO deadlift- 190kg 420lbs

Gripper- CoC #2,5.

Here is a video of me doing 248lbs dumbbell with 2,12" handle:

Please tell me what you think.. I know I've got a fairly good grip according to Norwegian standards, but then again it's allmost no people training for grip strength around here..

I'm not an expert on thick bars. But looking at your RT numbers and the sheer weight of the dumbell, I'd say it was pretty damn impressive!

This will one of the few logs I will follow.

Thank you for the kind response!

To be honest, I don't think I will log all my workouts here, as they mostly consist of strongman training. But I'll try to get more grip feats on video.

A couple of other lifts:

One hand pinch- five 10lbs plates(smooth sides out of course)

Atlas Stone to 120cm platform- 180kg

Axle clean & press- 130kg

Farmers Walk- 170kg each hand 3 meters

Yoke- 380kg 3 meters

Fatgrip dumbbell press- 80kg

Today I managed to pinch two 45lbs plates to a full lockout and held them for 10 seconds.

Last week I did a 5 meter farmers walk with two 35lbs plates pinched in each hand.

Really happy with training nowadays :)

Nice stone carry vid. Big numbers all around and the 45lb pinch is awesome. Congratulations!

Your thick bar dumbbell lift video was absolutely amazing!! I think you could go jogging with a pair of "inch" dumbbells :laugh

Hehe! If there were a pair(or even one for that matter)of Inch dumbbells here in Norway, I'd be first in line to try. Really hard to compare lifts when I haven't tried the official standards like the Inch dumbbell, blob and so forth..

Thanks for the motivating comment :)
