Rack Pull Novice

Hey guys!

I've been lurking for a while, and came across BigJan85's Topic about his rack pull.

So I tried it for the first time in my life last week and after working on proper technique (at least what I perceived as proper technique) with a light load, I've discovered the alternate grip, and soon after that I got up the courage to pull 455 from 3" above my knee.

I quit while I was ahead.

Today, about an hour ago, went into the gym with a healthy level of testosterone, and after a nice warm up, I started pulling heavy - for me anyway. I got up to 505 lbs. Feeling good, I left the gym and as soon as I sat into the car my rib on the left side about a hand breadth below the nipple started hurting. If you ever had a cracked rib..Well that's exactly what it feels like right now.

So the inevitable question; Is it even possible to crack a rib lifting. Or did I just pull a minor muscle and am being a kitty.

Thanks,

Kornel

I would say scenario 2 is the most likely. Hope it's nothing serious.
