Bill Piche Posted March 10, 2011 Share Posted March 10, 2011 One thing I do believe is for leg development (size) you don't have to squat a ton. It's more about workload and reps. How much an athlete squats is not a great or direct indication of the power output they might generate in their particular sport. Max squat that is. No athlete should really be maxing anyway and risking injury that takes them off the field. Plus, the structure takes a lot in their sport.
