I agree on Jesse as well -- looks bogus to me.

Let's see a close up as well.

Let's see a cert without your buddy standing there witnessing it.

This is a very tough poll. After all who would have thought Joe Kinney would have closed the #4 before he actually did it? It could be another "small" guy.

He is my choice to become the first to officially certify on a double #3 close.

How do you do that (officially)? Is there a certification process in place? This is one of my grip goal for this year. I have not yet tried it with harder grippers.

The guy who got certified with me, Patrick Lemieux, closed my #4 to 1/8 while holding the spring. Pinkie fully on the handle and he doesn't wrap his fingers around the handles, his fingers are straight just like in a pinch grip. He has an old #4 that I can't even position in my hand. He said he'll order a new #4 and have a run at it.

With proper technique and good training, it's in his reach.

Mikael-

Pat tried this in front of Dr. Strossen last year, but in his absence, as with the majority of #3 closes, the certification process is the same as a regular #3 close. You can always email Dr. Strossen and ask him the particulars, too.

There are no doubt many people out there world wide who do not really care about getting "certified" so I figure there may be some guy out there who will undoubtedly get the #4 before all the rest of the "certified" group.

While it may be different with the #3, I think ANYBODY who can close a #4, and has brain function, and knows what the gripper is, and knows the significance of it, will certify on it.

I understand your point, but there are so few #4s out there that the chances of somebody closing one and not particularily caring are extremely remote.
