Mun
Anything thick bar. [/quote So even doing dumbbell curls with a thick bar or bench press with a thick bar will greatly improve my grip strength?
Magnus
Thickbar is a very good grip exercise, but it's always hurt my gripper strength. One of the exercises I've gotten the best carryover to grippers from is heavy dumbbell rows on a regular 1" handle. I also get good results from 2hp and TTK. timstruse
I have a TTK and it was worth every dollar. Pinching plates is static, while the TTK is dynamic. If you're on a tight budget, check out a piece of equipment made by a Gripboard member Rico, in which he attached metal plates to a clamp - I think it's in his gallery. Guest Bullitt
Heavy DO oly deadlifts and heavier DO oly rack pulls. Heavy DO oly rows and heavy dumbell rows like Frank suggests are also great. You are really working the final crushdown with any of these. I worked my way to a closing a 3.5 doing nothing but grippers and DO deadlifts. Ask Brad Ardrey or Tim Struse (above) how DO deads have helped them with their crush strength.
