I'll be focusing mainly on thickbar and pinch for the next couple of months. Here are some short term goals:

-175lbs rolling thunder (current max is 150)

-2 45s plate pinch (current max is 2 35s)

Rolling Thunder (not including the weight of the equipment)

-45x10

-90x2x10

-135x2x1

Plate Pinch

-2 25s x 5 (passing the plates from hand to hand)

-2 35s x 2 (passing the plates from hand to hand)

-3 25s x 0 (got about 2" of air)

-2 45s x 0 (got about 1" of air)

I was very pleased with my grip workout. I was suprised at how easy the 35s were. I've never been able to break the 45s off the ground before. I'm giving myself 3 months to lift the 45s to full deadlift.

Dumbell Farmers Walks (Fat Gripz)

-75x5

Training with Fat Gripz is definitely giving me a new found respect for thick bar training. I wanted to do more today but my hands and forearms felt like they were going to burst.

Thickbar Dumbell Deadlifts (Fat Gripz)

-75 x 1

-100 x 1

-125 x 3 singles

-105 x 5 singles

Plate Pinch

-2 25s passed around the back 20 times

-2 35s x 3

I'm pleased with this workout. Unfortunately 125lbs is the heaviest dumbell my gym has so I won't be able to go any heavier. I guess eventually I'm going to have to work towards farmers walks with the 125s.

Duct tape.. man, that stuff is pure awesomeness. I´m pretty sure one can build a space shuttle with it.

Anyhow, buy some duct tape and then you can add more weight to the dumbell with little effort.

I'll give that a try.

Or some parachute cord or shoelace. The gym might not like the gum of tape on everything.

Strong work Kevin. Do those Fat Gripz have any give to them or are they pretty stiff?

They're pretty stiff except for the slit cut in them so you can fit them around the bar. I usually put that slit towards my palms (and away from my fingers) so it's not an issue.
