bcpower66
First log press since bicep tendon surgery. Very light (135 lbs) but huge milestone for me considering I never thought I'd do it again. Clean felt great, no pain, no weakness, just gonna build it back up slowly. Minor garage re-org tonight after nearly killing myself in a minefield of on-end dumbells and plates standing on edge. Grip stuff is hazardous... Squats tonight: 135x15, 225x15, 245x20, 245x20, 245x15, 245x12, front squat 225x10, lunges 135x10, single leg squats, 3 sets of 5. BURNT. Guest Bullitt
Great stuff Brent! Looked very solid. Just take your advice to me. Slow and steady on adding weight. Nice squat volume too!
The Natural
You'll end up lifting more than you did before, I bet.
bcpower66
I think you might be right Rex. I've taken the time to resolve some shoulder and knee issues, and O.H. pressing seems pretty painless now. Speaking of shoulders, How the hell do you manage to get your arms back far enough to put the bar that low on your back for squats? It isn't insanely low, but lower than I can currently get without my hands snapping off at the wrists. I guess I just have to work at it. I discovered last night that my bar placement is responsible for pitching me forward a bit. Bringing the bar down makes a really noticeable difference in pressure on the knees and lower back. Brent.
