If they are close to dead-on accurate replicas, I think they will sell quite a few. I wouldn't care if it was a couple pounds overweight (much better than underweight), but an exact-size handle would be a great selling point.

Bob am i right in thinking that 2.38'' is the correct size handle? This is the handle size on the Holle replicas.

The heavy grip tools replica i have has a 2.53'' handle.

I believe you are correct Sam. Mine (Sorinex model) measures 2.47 or 2.48 I believe. Better that than 2.28, but 2.38 (or was it 2.375?) would be more in line with the original, if memory serves me correct. I believe Chris Rice knows the exact #s.

2 3/8" or 2.375 is supposed to be the number from everything I have read about the Oringinal.

2 3/8 is readly avaliable in black pipe, and I had heard the same so that's what I picked for my trainer.

Remember the Inch handle section is only 4" long but if you do that on a plate loader your arm will probably touch the plates and stop the rotation - which is cheating yourself. Wedging your hand into the small handle is part of the Inch lift that really can't be duplicated easily on a plate loader. But I am working on that with Weldon - I have an idea I think might work - we'll see.

i actually can squeeze my hand into the plate and put pressure on the plate with my grip to mimic this onto one side. i made my handle a little longer so it would make it a little harder for me by not being able to do it on both sides. with 4" I would really be able to wedge my hand in there and make pressure on bothe sides, i bet that would make it alot eaysier. can most of the guys that can lift it squeeze pressure on both sides of their hand into the bell to help them lift it? or can they not touch both sides?
