Gentlemen

this video will be something very different then what you have seen in the past. Please view it, and TRY IT. We do not want to generate controversy, we want people to TEST FIRST, work within your limits, test again and get your goals. Plase feel free to contact me for direct questions concerning how to impliment these tests to your grip training.

The first time I saw this stuff was from my Korean Karate instructor while I was in Vietnam in the late 60s. Since then I've seen similar demonstrations in regards to Z Health - Reflexology, Shi At Su (sp) and a few other places. It can be used both for and against strength demos in related areas etc. Very interesting and something I would like to understand much better than I do.

LOL i just noticed i spelled it wrong. Well hopefully you will not pass because i messed up

Chris

I do not want this to be an advertisement for any system of training. I just want to elevate peoples awareness of their ability to test and learn using their own body. I will post additional information in the coming months on this same path-- Every person here is already equiped with the knowledge they need-- listen to the bodys feedback, not the "fitness guru"

On testing-- a simple toe touch or shoulder raise works very well for grip training. Note your base line, then try something. Very simple, if ROM increases after doing it- it is a good time for it. If not, try something else and work with the highest pay off drills that day. It really is that simple.

Very interesting video. I will sign up on that website too. The one thing I found most impressive is how they managed a 10:36 second youtube video when the maximum allowed time is 10:00 on youtubebiggrin.gif

Hey Adam, are you able to reach the website? www.areyouthemovement.com doesn't work and I am interested to watch the 36 minute video they are talking about.

Carl

the site is being rebuilt, but i will continue to post videos and articles which are pieces of the big picture. Here is part I of a series I will do for programming with bio-feedback. i think we talkabout that a little bit over the summer.

programming part I

this is scratching the surface, but when all is shown, you will see it is VERY SIMPLE. Which is a beautiful thing.

This does sound pretty interesting and I will be following your videos. How long have you been working with this training method and do you find you are progressing faster because of it?

Pick up a Reflexology book and start out with the points on the feet and note what happens - the foot points are easier to find than many of the points on the body. I hope you can do more in depth follow ups on this Adam - it's good stuff. And Thanks!

Call me skeptical but I don't believe that first vid for a second. How do we know the dude doing the demo wasn't faking like he was pulling hard the first time and then actually pulling after the stretch/massage to sort of "prove" his theory? That's a common huckster trick in martial arts. The guy has "no" strength after the stretch what if that isn't even close to my experience? If I squat 405 and then do stretches am I going to collapse under 225? Not that I'm a huge fan of static stretching but what the heck?

Now in your vid I didn't see any of that. In fact I think we can agree that you can use exercises to help "balance" parts of the body or to determine cns fatigue. And I certainly have no problem with "listen to the bodys feedback, not the "fitness guru"" I think that is 100% true.

All I can do is voice my personal experience. I've lifted post static stretching and sans the stretching with no noticeable difference in performance. Granted, I stretch briefly and hold for only 5 or 10 seconds.

Close friends to me, they do not have to fake anything. But instead of saying this to win you over, i am going to provide more info and allow you to continue to ask questions.

Today I will shoot part II, in which i will detail sets and reps with in selection. When i post it on the blog i will leave a link here.

On your squat, my movement prep would put you at 450 within a few weeks. I am averaging a 100lbs+ in 2 months with my lifters between their pull and squat. The body will adjust fast when we listen to it.

Sounds interesting Adam. I'll be interested in seeing the program and if it does what you says I'll give it a 2 month test in earnest.

Gentlemen,

Here is my second video, please view this and post any questions you have.

Instead of pointless talk- go out and test something next workout-- Test to see if crush or pinch is working better that day, if a press is testing better then a curl or a squat.

I will address questions on my page, just post a comment. I will put up another video in a week.

Adam, i have only seen part of your first and none of this video, YET but i agree with the way you are going about pointing this out to this board. It is hard to believe because it is so far fetched. But for the few that pay attention to you they will be impressed, VERY impressed. I have seen this first hand and experienced it myself with a CK-FMS, Z-Heath Certified Practitioner & RKC II, George Samuelson. I saw him increase someone DL by 50 lbs after they were looking at dots on a piece of paper. Some kind of mind trick but it worked. Then being a non believer myself i told him i had a problem with my wrist, whick was true. I could not bend it back far enough to get in a push up position. I had been to a chiro a bunch of times and my regular doctor. This was my last try before i saw a specialist. George had me do some ankle movements for a couple of minutes. Then he had me do a push up. It was my first push up in almost a year.

This stuff is hard for people to grasp but the few that take the time will believe, i'm just glad you are not pushing it on them. This stuff works, and having it on video for free, thats too good to be true. Thank you for teaching us that there is more out there.

You gotta remember, eastern medicine has been around for 2,000 years, western for 200. Various energy manipulation/nerve point treatments such as accupuncture, reflexology, raiki and so forth, these things have been used much longer then popping pills. Western med is mostly trying to mask/treat symptoms, or to "fix" things by chopping stuff out. Eastern tries to fix your body using it's own energy, herbals, and so on.
