Does the thick handle make the press part tougher? Or only when picking it up from the ground? I can bench with my thick bar for about the same weight as an oly bar, that's y I'm asking?

I honestly haven't tried to press it, but it probably doesn't make it too much harder other than trying to stableize it a bit

At that weight I actually think it's a little easier, or at least it feels better. Not as much pressure on your palm and wrist. I guess I shouldn't say "that weight" since I've never fully pressed the Inch, but have done plenty of heavy db pressing.

The thick handle makes it much harder to stabilize, it will try to tear out of your hand. I could do pretty solid singles overhead with 182.5 with my regular thickness dumbell handle when I first (jerked) the inch. The inch was harder.

And yes, it does take a lot of ice cream.

Thanks for remembering that Chris, not to mention it was almost below zero outside when I did that, I think it was in feb. my darn anke still isint right, I never went to any therapy sessions too busy with the kids. That's one of my favorite lifts beside squats. I just really enjoy all this stuff. That's y its so much fun for me to work outside my comfort zone.
