Another Squat Pr!

Following Rex's advice for heavy singles as a way to confuse my legs, I hit a decent PR tonight; 425#!!! :rock This was after singles at 325, 345, 365, 385, 405, and 415. Fresh I think I could come real close to 450#. I guess 20 rep squats really do work! Later! :cool

Sweet, I hope to catch that # soon enough. 450 though is still a ways off from me.

How is your deadlift now? I got a nice strength boost all around from the 20 rep routine.

Thanks Tim. I haven't tried to do a conventional DL in some time now. I plan to when this 6 week 20 rep cycle is over.

Hit a new PR tonight: 450!!!! :rock And that was after a brutal squat session consisting of:

Squats--

1x10x135 WU

1x5x205 WU

1x5x355

1x5x365

1x5x380

1x3x385

1x2x400

1x1x430 (this is actually a 5lb PR over my last PR of 425)

1x1x450 PR!!!!!

Thanks! There's a link to the cycle in my "300# for 20 reps" post. I have changed it up now though, and am on a hybridish 5x5 routine with much heavier weight. The 20 reppers worked great for about 4 weeks, but my body got used to the volume.

I really like the 5X5. I use it a lot. It has always worked great for me.
