Rick Browne
ruffans, Steel can not be welded directly to aluminum. The gripper would require a steel insert or "nub" to be cast in the handles at the initial gripper manufacturing process in order to weld your cuuter blades and /or pliar jaws. (but I could be wrong)
Jonathan McMillan
I've got a whole crap load of wire in a big tangled mess left out back. I've taken to cutting wire a la Brookfield. Even without the gripper in the mix it's a great exercise in its own right. Mangled the pair of cutters I had...there's a gouge taken right out of the cutting surface now. HAMMERHEAD
Jonathan- Wire cutting is great. It is much harder than I thought it would be. Great for working on your crush instead of grippers. -HH
Jonathan McMillan
Yes I'm using the wire cutting to toughen my hands up for gripper work. Jon@han
