I had to skip my last workout on Friday because I wasn't able to close a #1 with my left hand. I had no pain when gripping so I didn't knew what was wrong until I tried to pinch lift something and recognized that my left wrist felt like it was broken (Fortunately it wasn't). On top of this I had to spend the weekend in bed because I was ill. I will take a week or two off until it is fully recovered.

Thanks, Alan! My left hand's much better now and I'm working my way up on the grippers currently repping the HG200 with my weak hand. I got a new schedule that isn't very consistant at the moment so I don't know when I'm able to train. Only thing I'm doing at the moment is some gripper work from time to time. Hopefully I will be back at it next week or the week after. Greetings to all of you!

You might try some GTG gripper training.

I'm trying that right now and it barely consumes any time.

Edit:

Gripboard's very own Wes Peart used to train like that when he started out, if my memory serves me correctly.

Good to see that you're still around, Christoph! How's your training going?

Sounds interesting. Please tell me more about GTG.

That's the article that got it startet, to my knowledge at least.

GTG means that you do short, light workouts multiple times a day, and avoid failure.

hmmmm........kinda suspicious on that workout routine......almost sounds like complete effort is not given here :dry

Thanks, Christoph! I've downloaded the article. I will read it as soon as I got the time.

I've fallen in love with card tearing recently so I gave it a first try.

I used laminated paper cards:

2009-09-14

1x 15 cards - few seconds

1x 15 cards - few seconds

1x 15 cards - few seconds

1x 15 cards - few seconds

2009-09-15

1x 15 cards - few seconds

2009-09-16

1x 15 cards - quartered - few seconds

1x 15 cards - quartered - few seconds

1x 20 cards - quartered - few seconds

Quartering 20 cards wasn't that hard. Guess I will use more cards next time. I think tearing a full deck of cards is something I want to accomplish. Now I have to find a cheap supplier. The cheapest cards I've found so far are EUR 0.60 per 32 laminated paper cards. That's too much. Maybe I'll find some at the 1€-Store.

I've been neglecting my training a bit these past few months. Nevertheless I was able to rip a deck of SKAT cards. Also I finally have a static weekly working schedule so I (re-) started my regular workout routine last week. It consists of wrist curls, levering, static pinch and grippers. Hope you're all doing well!
