Relationship Between Grip-machine And Gripper Poundage?

I'm getting a plate loading grip machine this month. This has probably been asked before (excuse, Im new here!) but in your experience is there a direct poundage relationship between the grip-machine and CoC grippers? That is, if you work towards 185lbs with one hand on the grip-machine will/does this translate to closing the No2 (or there abouts)? Just looking for some guidelines for goal setting for the plate loader.

Alternately, what rep/set scheme on a grip-machine would be best advised (high reps? low reps? singles? negs?). Any advice welcome. My current goal is to close the number 2 by March. Currently closing the 1.5 so really need to improve as this is not that impressive (especially in this company!)

Regards

I have the Ironmind plate-loaded floor grip machine and it is great for heavy negatives, but I have noticed little carry-over to the grippers I have. ( RB 210,240, 260N,300N, Brookfield gripper extended handles 175-350, COC#2,HG 100,150,200,250, 300,350, Ivanko Super Gripper) It is a great machine, but toally different dynamic going on compared to grippers.
