jimwylie1
Slayer Dave Horne had some success with the thumbless 'under hand' grip at last years British Championships. He Managed 264lb on the rolling thunder; the last event in a long day of competition.
Guest baldy
Steve, to have your picture taken you first have to do something noteworthy, so that leaves me out. For the time being you will just have to take my word for it that I am not nearly as ugly as you are. O1d Dude, you got the wrong baldy. I only got 1 life 2 live. Jim, that would probably be in part due to the immense amount of wrist strength that David has. When I try my RT that way it becomes mostly a wrist / forearm lift since it negates the thumb. I bet he could pull 300+ lbs fresh if he wanted to using that grip. BTW, nice job at David's contest. Where are you going to stop with 1" vbar, 800 lbs or so? gazza
Baldy I think Jim if he wanted to,could go after the blob+weight added record. I no that Richard Sorin, john Brookfield,John Ontario, and one of the Gillinghams, have all lifted the blob+10lbs added,is this the record. I think theres still a good few pounds in the v-bar lift as well for big Jim!
mobsterone
Recived this today: Thanks much for the photo and congratulations on this big lift! For right now at least, to count as a world record, the lift has to be performed in an approved contest (referees, handle inspected, rules followed, everything weighed, etc.), but you are undoubtedly pulling some serious weight in this lift. As far as unofficial lifts go, Brad Gillingham has done 275 pounds in plates alone, without really pushing himself. It would be nice to get you in a contest where you can go for broke on this lift since you're clearly a top performer on and enjoy it a lot. Maybe David Horne would be a possibility for this? Keep up the excellent work! Randy Strossen
Nathan Say
Richard Sorin, john Brookfield,John Ontario, and one of the Gillinghams John Ontario? Who's he? What else can he do? (+ I think it's probably Wade Gillingham)
3Crusher
It's John Ottarski, not John Ontario.
Roark
What is the official record, and by whom, when?

supersqueeze
As far as I know, there is no "official" blob record. However Wade Gillingham's post on July 23 within the Steel Fingers Challenge thread gives a little insight into what he may be capable of lifting on the blob. I recommend you carefully reread it.
