Well seeing how it is the New Year and people are making new ones and I'm finally able to get back into the grip game I've decided that it was time to start a new log

Goals this year are to:

Mash on the #3

Thickbar up to 130lbs

Bend the Red

Overall better grip

Today I've decided I will be doing 40-50 closes on my btr #2.. Up to 40 as of now, and will hit 50-55ish tonight

Well I decided to do another 50 singles on my filed #2.. today I'm resting as I have some blisters near my thumb and palm

Did you succeed in your 50 reps? If so congrats, thats truly awesome!

Yes Monday and Tuesday I did 50 singles on both of those days. This weekend I'm hoping to file that #2 more and start working on my block weight later in the day.. It took way to long to get 50 on M,T.. so I'm hoping I can shave a some time off of Thursday and Fridays attempts

Did some negatives with a 5lb sledge front and back really didn't write it back as to I was cold and hungry and just hurried up

Today I did 50 more closes with the #2.. did about 30 of them at 4:30.. started again at 9:00 pm EST and finished the other 20 at 11:00

Looking forward to the weekend so I can rest my hands..

Well I filed my #2 a little bit more and have gotten 30 so far.. stopped at 5 p.m. EST because of setting finger. Starting again at 6..

I've got a question for people that have done volume type of work. Should I try to do the sets as fast as I can or can I take like an hour break or will that hurt me more then help?

Also I filed my #2 and I'm setting it parallel.. will that help with wider closes later on with my #3.. Alright time for another 30 I'll post again when I get it

Well finished the last 30.. I have to say it wasn't bad.. I might do some more throughout the night still got 60 more tomorrow

Right- BBSM attempt missed by 1/8 both times

Left - BBSM held at 1/4 both times

Filed #2 Right handed with 5lbs for 7 seconds- 3 sets

Filed #1 Left handed with 5lbs for 7 seconds- 4 sets

5 Singles on #2

3 Negatives on BBGM

Alright so I did my workout today

Grippers

RH: 5 sets of 3 BFN with my BBGM

LH: Filed #1 1x12

2HP

1x3 70lbs

1x3 90lbs

1x3 100lbs

1x3 100lbs

1x2 105lbs

1x2 90lbs

Decided to do grippers one more time to end the night.. 1x3 BFN with RH on my BBGM and filed #2 overcrush for 7 seconds

Have to say when doing the overcrush I could really feel my forearms were tired

Well I didn't have any paper to write my Thickbar so I have to write it now before I forget and then later on I'll do my wrist workout

Thickbar (2 3/8 dumbell handle)

I just wanted to do holds today with it so here it is all with 50lbs:

1x1 60 seconds

1x1 50 seconds

1x1 30 seconds

I was trying to get to a minute and when I do with all of these I will add 5-10lbs

Also did a farmer walk with them after this because I still had some in me.. got to about 50 feet with the 50lbs and couldn't go anymore

I have to say my forearms felt like Popeye. Still kinda shaky typing but feels like a good pump

I'll write my levering/wrist roller later on I have to rest my forearms

Both Ways:

45lbs

55lbs

65lbs

70lbs (I hate trouble going forward with the wrist roller, wrist were tired on this one)

Sledge (5lbs I know kinda light)

25 inches 1x5 front lever to the nose

30inches:

2x5 Negatives to the front

2x5 Negatives to the back

I don't know if it's just me or if that thickbar on Tuesday took more out then I thought.. Just didn't feel strong on grippers..

I'm determined tho to keep this program up for atleast 6 weeks

Be persistant Rob and most of all be patient, your hand strength will only get stronger the more workouts you put in.

Ended the thickbar session with a short farmers walk/run

Levering 10 lbs

4x3 negatives (both front and back)

Wrist roller

55lbs 3x1 (again both sides)

I want to get more on the wrist roller I just don't know about how to do it.. I would love to roll a frying pan and this seems the best exercise to do (Other then actually rolling a frying pan)

Could feel my extensors really need to be worked.. back of the hand is starting to bother me will do some before I go to bed
