STRONGMAN Training Day

Farmer's walk Implements - NO BELT - Weight in each hand

185 x 50ft - No turns (PR!!)

165 x 100ft - 1 Turn (PR!!)

165 x 100ft - 1 Turn

Note: Man i love these things. Brutal is all i can say about them though. I did my heavy set with 185 for a straight 50ft, probably had a bit more. The turn is what gives me the most problems since the implements sway to the left and its very hard to control them while you are turning. I am planning on trying 200 for 50 ft and 175 for 100ft next week.

Apollon's Axle Clean and Strict Press - No belt - Clean Once

108x12 (PR!!)

108x12

Note: The last reps are really painful, felt like dying.

Apollon's Axle Clean and Push Press - No belt - 2 Minute time limit

123x12 (PR!!)

Note: The idea is to clean and press this as many times as you can in a 2 minute time frame. The problem is that endurance really becomes a factor especially on the cleans. After 30 seconds i had 5 reps in already, but the ones that followed needed more small breaks. I will keep at this weight until i can hit 15 reps pretty consistently.

Apollon's Axle Double Overhand Deadlifts - All reps deadstopped

268x1

213x12 (PR!!)

213x12

213x12

Note: My single with 268 felt really good, i may be over my old 1 rep max of 283lbs already, i will know in a couple of weeks. The sets were deadly, i shot for 12 reps instead of 10 like last time and it really got me good. I actually failed my last rep on my last set but i took a 3 second breather and regripped and got it. Overall and amazing but very exhausing day.

I think i will be going back to high volume rep work on grippers as that is what i was doing when i was at my peak strength.

7 sets of X amount of reps - Alternating with light, medium, and hard grippers.
