otpointandg
Recently had back surgery (lumbar fusion) following an accident so limited in what I've been doing. I've been able to continue with using my COC trainer and #1 but for now that's all I've been doing. I am now closing the #1 about a maximum of 7 times with each hand. I just ordered the #2 and need some advice on how to train to make this leap. So far, I haven't been using any kind of plan at all. I usually just grap the gripper and do some reps while I'm getting ready for work in the mornings. Any suggestions on a structured program for training? Thanks. BigT
First of all as a guy who's closed the #3 but not certified maybe I can help First of all, file that #1 a bit at a time and start giving me some overcrushes(just holding it shut as hard as you can for 5-7 sec.). 2nd if you can get a #3 and start doing some negatives(just closing with two hands and holding for one). That's a few tips. Warm-up with your trainer for a few reps and then get right to the overcrushes. Then when the OC's get easy do some strap holds with your filed #1. Do #2 attempts every so often. I hope I helped some, there are many opinions on the board. Just a guy that trains secretly and quietly at the moment, who's helping a brother in grip get strong good luck
