At this rate I'll be thrilled to hit the top half. Or not be last... 4 places left by the way.... I'm kind of curious how many #4's will be closed this year, or how many Bastard bar or above will be bent. I bet a Bastard bend won't guarantee a top 10 in bending. Hotel info to date- Drury Inn 905 W Anthony Drive, Champaign, IL 61821 I'll have a reservation phone # up as soon as they email it to me The rate is $104 flat rate for 1-4 people in a room. The rooms are 2 double beds, non smoking. I blocked 15 rooms, they will be held until Oct 1st, then the rooms & the group rate are released. I reserved the block for fri the 20th & sat the 21st. The Drury is a nice hotel, hot tub, indoor outdoor pool (you just swim under a glass wall & you're outside year round). I believe they have a breakfast & a happy hour. Tons of restaurants within walking distance, a big mall & a couple of grocery stores, theater, shops etc within walking distance. 5 minute drive from the downtown area with a ton of bars & restaurants. popeye10 Posted July 10, 2006 Share Posted July 10, 2006 I have thought about it and I am not competiting.I just know I wont train grip that much so I would much rather have someone go that actually will train for it hard.I read on the site that there will be strongman implements there to mess around with.Do you have to compete to be able to test them out or can you just come,hang out and lift a little bit? I have farmer's, yoke, stones, tires, axle, log, rope, truck DL handle, pulling harness, 300lb anvil, kegs, herc hold, a few other items. Plus 2 sizes of the Inch, tons of grip toys, etc. There's not much extra space inside, we really didn't have spectators last year, but 30-35 people will fit if I get motivated to move the stone platforms outside.
