Wetting your hands with pure water, yes, spitting no. Sucking on a lollipop and then spitting on your hands should give you a fantastic sticky grip. Even a sport drink could work if it is highly concentrated. Would be best if only chalk is allowed actually, instead of all this wiping the handle and rubbing the hands to make them sticky. The RT contest was STRICTLY held the IM competition rules!!!!!!!!!! Only chalk allowed and nothing more! no spitting, no other "secrets", period!
