Mitch Kirchner
From now on every grip workout I am going to go balls to the wall. I am going to do extreamly heavy negatives and timed holds on my BB grip machine. I am going to 1 light warm up and go straight to work. My negitives are only going to last like 5 secs. I'll do 4 sets of heavy negitives and then at the end do 2 sets of 10 reps sound good SyberSnott? I am going to do it so hard my hand feel like thier dumb. NO PAIN NO GAIN? what do u guys think? TennisDude
I don't know if others find this to be true or not, but my best gains come from definitely overtraining. I'll do grip workouts that work the same or similar muscles two to three, maybe even four, days in a row. My hands will be quite sore throughout and my PRs usually won't be up (unless it is bending) because I have gotten no rest. Then I will take a few days of rest and try for a PR. I will usually get that PR. There is definitely something to be said for going all out. Just be able to recognize the good pain from the bad pain, and stop if you think injury is just around the corner. -TennisDude
