BBGM finally went down today. I consider mine to be about the same as my 2005 #3, but for some reason it has eluded me until today. No longer! All sets are MM set or wider unless otherwise indicated.

I did a contrast bath after this workout because my hands were shot from the consecutive days working grippers. I was actually surprised to get the BBGM because I didn't feel that strong, and then to not only close it once.. but to close my BBGM, then my #3 then the BBGM again. I was elated. Good times.

I'm lovin' the new hose clamps. Got two singles on the #3 today, then one on the Elite. That's a nice PR for me. Ran out of steam quickly after that. I need to do some more volume work and get my stamina back up on the high end of my range. Looks like its time for more negatives and max attempts over multi-days.

Heck, I can't complain. I am closing the #3 about once each workout. I remember when I couldn't close the #2 and that wasn't all that long ago. I suppose it was a good workout after all! :)

It was a low volume workout, but a good workout just the same. I got 3 singles on my #3 today. That's a first for me and I am very excited. At least I am getting somewhat consistent with it, or so it seems for the time being.

Was going to take a rest day but the wife asked me if I was gonna grip tonight so I thought that was encouragement enough to get in here, suck it up and do a higher volume workout. WOW! That's the only way I can describe today's workout. My crush was totally on and it was like I had 2 or 3 extra tanks of gas. Well, needless to say I didn't want the ride to end so I drove her until the tank ran dry. I even had a pretty hard time closing the trainer for my cool down. LOTS of PRs! Decided to do some light work yesterday just to keep my muscles working. I was trying to film a #3 close with making sure the set got on tape, but things didn't work out all that well. I had to change my set technique to make it more condusive to filming and I missed all of my #3 attempts. I guess that just means I'll have to work on it more.

All in all a good workout. Glad to close one of my two new #3's. I missed the other one by a sliver and might have gotten it instead of the 2nd single on the hard #3 but I didn't have enough for it after that. Maybe next workout. Good times. Just to clarify, I rate my three #3's easy, medium and hard against each other. That isn't necessarily how others might rate them when compared to the masses of #3's out there, but I don't have anything to compare them to other than my BBGM and they are all harder than it is.

Woo hoo! I got 10 reps on my BBSE clamped @ 3/8". That's a huge PR for me, especially at the end of my workout. I probably should have tried 7/16" (which has eluded me) but I wanted to end on a positive note. I have to give mad props to Ben for turning me on to using hose clamps. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be gripping where I am today.

I had to tape my pinky cuz the skin there is so tender that I couldn't do any work without it. Without having to deal with that pain, I posted quite a few new PRs. I also started a low carb diet about a week and a half ago (lost 15lbs) but my strength has been sapped. So I loaded up on carbs and caffiene and well.. the workout went really, really well! I finally shut that stubborned #3 that's harder than my Elite and my BBE2 which is just about as hard! My extensors are yelling at me right now because I upped them from the single Red band to both the Blue and White bands overlapping. They'll feel real good tomorrow. Getting ready for the contest this weekend. With any luck, I won't finish dead last. MMG1 attempt coming up real soon too. Hoping for a good showing there as well. That's about all to report.
