i've just started working the grippers again after an injury sustained from overtraining. what is optimum amount of training that should be done on the grippers and how do i tell that im overtraining before an injury occurs

This is pretty much impossible to answer. There's a million variables. You want to know "just the point" of optimum training before injury occurs? :ohmy

If not recoverying properly then You need more rest.

If you do timely hold more then too much time.

If injure started and why?

It is better to give 100% one workout then overusing sometime.
