It's not grip (I used straps) but I've been stuck at 585# for a while now. Warmed up and felt good at 550#, jumped to 600#, still good, threw on 650# and pulled it right up - put it down to a little spasm in my back; actually felt good for more but didn't push my luck. Didn't move the bar all that far - maybe 8-9" (started just above knee height). I want to thank Nick and Eli - they engouraged me and told me I could do it when we were talking about it at the last get together. Didn't want to let them down. New goal is now 700# - I'll back down and do reps for a while now and then try it again in a few weeks. I can't imagine Shrug just bouncing another couple hundred pounds up and down like he did. I think my arms are longer now.
