Log Lifting

Finally got my steel log in yesterday. Its an 8" pro log from BSweightlifting. It weighs a minumum of 165 empty, and may be as much as 175. I need someone that is light enough that can also hold it while they step on my scale. It only goes up to 330.

I love that log like it was my own child! At first I really strugled with keeping it stable on the way up cause the hand position was way different than anything I have ever used, but later in the day it was much eaiser.

Anyone that does log presses, can you do more on a log or more on a regular bar?

I can clean over 200 on the log very eaisly, but my clean for a regular bar maxes out right now at 215. However, and this mayn be due to it being new to me, I had trouble getting 3 reps on the log with it empty, which is 165-175, not sure, and on a bar I can get 185 for 3.
