Warmed up hands in piping hot water, slammed shut RB240, got RB260 to 1/8" HG300 to 2/8" and could barely get #3 to parallel!!!!

I'm definately getting another one!

Still fried (and a little drunk) from office Xmas party!

We've decided to extend the race to be the first to be the one to certify as MM0, I've a feeling I'm onto a loser here, but I'm going to push Paul all the way!

Glad to see you reporting Twig!!!

This is the kind of situation where nobody really loses.

We will both get much stronger for it!!!!!

My #3 is a 2004...tough one also...I searched to high heavens for an

older, easier one...but the heck with it...I will feel that much better

when I close the tougher gripper. That way should I come across one

at an event or something I don't have to say..."Wait a minute, that isn't

an easier older one......yikes!" :D

Good luck to both of you guys.

The good thing is:

The 2004 #3s I tested were all harder than the MM1.

So if you can close your #3 you are already in an exclusive circle. :happy

Thanks Franky!! :D

Wow...Franky should I order an MM1 replica now or maybe MM2??

If the 2004 #3 is on par with MM1....I do have an Elite that I haven't

even tried.

That thought occurred to me too, but what with the Ned's Atomic Dustbin tour and Christmas, I won't be buying anything till next year now! :help

5/16, 5/16, 1/4, 1/4, 3/16 !!!, 1/4, 1/4, 3/16!!! PR's

Having real difficulty with the sets...because of palm injuries!!

Great job Paul !

Let those poor ripped palms heal up before you do real damage. I'm sure for a few day you can find stuff to work grip (even crush) w/out doing heavy grippers and trashing your palms.

Hopefully, in a week, you'll be healed up and can squeeze injury free and get more PR's.

I predict you'll make CoC in 2005 with a full credit card set close of the bricks that are the new 3's.

Thanks Neilkaz,

Good to hear from you again. My problem is I am in the last 2 weeks

of KTA..the "peaking phase". I do not want to lose momentum here. I

will do the best I can with the taping of my hands to prevent the set slippage

that is occurring.

OK Paul,

Tape up and lets see how close you can get on the 3 at the end of your peaking phase.

I'll be starting my own log soon, and my training has been delayed a bit by travelling, numerous holiday party commitments in my business, and by some tendons in a couple of the fingers in my right hand which still aren't happy.

I also find contrast baths extremely helpful.

Get that 3 and slam it shut !! .. neilkaz ..

Neilkaz,

Get a cup of water and freeze it into ice..then apply that ice block to the tender areas specifically, you will be able to get the injured areas much colder than

with the traditional contrast baths...This has helped me a lot with the "tender areas"...

9 attempts....1/4 - 5/16

The last 1/4...I might as well be squeezing a brick!

Grip session last night, was basically squeezing the life out of my HG300 but cannot get the TNS close again, beginning to think the first one was a dream!!!!

Then negatives on the #3, followed by some bending and RT work.

On tour for the next 3 days (Sheffield, Glasgow and London), the beauty of grippers is that they are so damn transportable, the bad news is that my hands will probably be so screwed from lifting flight cases (I'm going as a fan, but when the band find out I'm around, I usually get roped into carry ing the heavy gear!) that I won't be able to train.

Then I'm back for 2 days and off for the final date of the tour and Xmas with the folks, so posting will be pretty scarce until the New Year, but rest assured I will be crushing where-ever I am!

Grip work for past 3 days: Farmers walk up and down stairs with flight cases, 8 by 12's, catering cases etc.

Grabbing people out the crowd and heaving them over the barriers.

Pushing moshers away from clooapsed members of the pit using open fingers so I don't hurt them and get sued etc.

Off home for Xmas now, so won't be posting for at least a week. Last night I just did pinch and RT work as my hands are still sore from the tiny handles on the flight cases.

Good luck Paul, and happy holidays, I hope you feel refreshed and recovered.

Oh, I will be seasoning my grippers while I'm at home, so that might make a difference, too, Dad reckons he's built the perfect seasoning machine... We shall see!

During next to last KTA workout today:

RH 2004 #3 IM 6 attempts....actually got a close out of it...But my left thumb was

anchoring the gripper in my sweet spot..because torn callous and tape...I will

not count it...but felt good to see it close!!

Other Attempts HG400 x 3 1/4" - 5/16" easy sweep, tough close, feels tougher

than my 2004 #3 contrary to some comments about this gripper, also no choker.

HG 300 CLOSED again PR's here
