pdoire
I know Warren has certs...where do they begin?...and end? I heard you can get certed on a BBM...does that mean also every increase along the way is certifiable? That would be a lot of certs!!! Maybe some form of this question could be put in FAQ for reference?

You have to close the gripper no set, so it's not easy to get more than 2 or 3 certs

ironorr
You certify with a table no-set close, but Warren lets you use a gripper that is customized to fit your hand. It is narrow enough that all of your fingers can wrap around it without a set. Therefore, you won't have to worry about using all your energy through the sweep, and you can use it all for the close. And the last 1" on the BB are tough! Edited October 27, 2004 by ironorr

pdoire
Warren told me when I purchased my BBSM that Cert size was 2 3/4 inches.
ironorr
Warren told me when I purchased my BBSM that Cert size was 2 3/4 inches. ← That depends on your hand size. Did you tell him your size? I believe he told me that 2 5/8" is the narrowest as well. Edited October 27, 2004 by ironorr

handgripperman
8 1/4 is my hand size and i certify with a 2 3/4inch spread grippers
ironorr
8 1/4 is my hand size and i certify with a 2 3/4inch spread grippers ← That's why you're using that gripper. Since I have only 7" hands I would probably use a 2 5/8" gripper, but probably nothing more than a 2 1/2" to certify with Tetting. I'm going to certify on the BB Super Master probably before Thanksgiving.
pdoire
I'm going to certify on the BB Super Master probably before Thanksgiving. ← What is actually required to cert with Warren?? Besides the gripper Call him to tell him and then send in a video of your table no-set close?

Besides the gripper Call him to tell him and then send in a video of your table no-set close? ← If I recall, I beleive that you first must call him and give your hand measurements so that he can customize the gripper you will be certifying on. I think you need a witness and a video of you closing the gripper using a table no-set. Once the video is viewed, if the close is good he will send you a certificate stating which gripper you successfully closed under his rules. pdoire
I already ordered the gripper about 2 weeks ago..if it takes some time to close it....I hope he keeps records that I already bought it, and knows my hand size and that i ordered a cert gripper from him. Anyone got any experience with this?
menace3000
Guys can you explain in detail the TNS? can you prop the gripper against your body to get a better set? or must you pick up gripper with 1 hand and not have it touch any part of the body or any other object?(so no propping against a wall for better set...)....I just want a clear explanation... thanks
Florian Kellersmann
You are only allowed to use one hand (no wall or other bodypart). Here is a Tetting certification video. Flo
