rolf
What aspect of grip do you guys feel the R-ring develops? My uneducated guess is the muscles of the palm or knuckle joints, as the handle is held quite deep in the palm. Rolle
Rick Walker
What aspect of grip do you guys feel the R-ring develops? My uneducated guess is the muscles of the palm or knuckle joints, as the handle is held quite deep in the palm. Supporting strength mostly. Also trains the pain tolerance. The reason I got the ring from Shrug was to prepare for the Dinnie Stones. The wife and I will be traveling to Scotland either summer 2005 or 2006 so I can go after as many stones as possible. I am hoping that using this ring will prepare me for that. Rick Walker
Clay Edgin
I like the eagle loops and R-ring. I made my own R-ring by taking an old 5/8" HRS bar and scrolling it, then chopping off the excess and welding the ring shut. Came out to about 6" perfectly. That ring is a lot of fun. I've lost quite a bit of skin on it though. I think there is a pic in my gallery of my hand after a battle with the ring. The ring won. I'm not a big fan of the hub. I like lifting actual plates better. I got the outer limit loops a year ago and think I have used them twice. I think I just gave them away. The claw curl seems to be helpful for doing finger curls, and I can do that with the eagle loops, so I didn't bother to buy it.
