Todd Kartchner
One of the handles (the one opposing the dogleg) on my PDA 262 came loose and now rotates freely, making it difficult to close. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Any feedback is appreciated. Many thanks, Todd Kartchner
Rick Browne
You will need to remove the handle. Twist the loose handle back and forth and pull down on it at the same time. Get a cleaning solvent like acetone or even rubbing alcohol will work and clean the spring leg. You will also need to clean the bore of the handle too. Use a Q-tip soaked in the cleaning solvent and swab out the bore untill it is clean. You will need several Q-tips. I use JB Weld, a 2 part industrial strength epoxy to rebond the handle to the spring leg. It cures like steel. Apply a coating to the springleg and twist your handle back on. Twist the handle several full turns while pulling it down at the same time. Pull the handle down about 1/2 inch while turning it. Push the handle back on forcefully to expel trapped air. You will get some squeeze out at the top of the handle but just clean that off using your Q-tip and acetone or alcohol. Be sure your handle is pushed all the way on. Prop the gripper standing up and let it cure for 24 hrs.
OldGuy
Use the JB very sparingly if the spring is a tight fit in the handle, or it might not go back all the way in.

JS27
Use the JB very sparingly if the spring is a tight fit in the handle, or it might not go back all the way in. I learned that the hard way.
