Thats really good at that weight then. You are a tad ahead of me on it and we weigh very similar. 155lbs plus the 2lb flask and how much does your loading pin weight? Even that at 157lbs is about 71kg what would be 5th in the 83kg weight class that you would be in. Obviously these are contest lifts possibly done on a brand new slick flask but still you are right up there. Ive only maxed once when i got it at 152lbs so im not too far behind you. Ill be stronger now but been focusing on 1 handed. Edited April 13, 2021 by mcalpine1986

That was my first time using the flask and it was a new flask. I’ll try maxing again in about a month and see how I do. Maybe by the time there is a competition I could potentially have a top 10 lift we’ll see. That would be really cool. I’m not sure of the weight of the loading pin but it’s the iron mind 2” plate loading pin.

Ive been doing 1 handed since i got it a month or so ago and its starting to season in a bit. Oh yes all contest lifts but it still gives you something to shoot for. The IM oly pin weighs 3.7lbs. Your weight plates may vary in weight maybe so you might want to round it down to 3lbs to keep it simple. (Ive weighed all mine) That means you lifted 160lbs first try, at 175lbs or so that is outstanding. It gives me some great motivations to keep up with you lol. I have some goals to shoot for now. When are you maxing out next? Curious to know what you get now. Also my plates are machines plates supposed to be within 2% tolerance so not perfect but should be pretty close.

Cool, you have a good 2 hand pinch so its always good to work on weaknesses rather than strengths. Thats why ive been focusing on 1 handed as 2 handed comes naturally. Im curious myself how much carryover from 1 hand to 2 hand i will have had so we ill see. Ill max next week some time when im fresh.
