Fatgrip Extreme Curls

Wristcurls - Hard to find a good size/weighted plate. Also hard to read my notation.

LH: 2,5 kg x 15 10 kg x 3 + 2,5 kg x 10 10 kg x 3 + 2,5 kg x 10 10 kg x 3 + 2,5 kg x 10

RH: 2,5 kg x 15 10 kg x 3 + 2,5 kg x 10 10 kg x 3 + 2,5 kg x 10 10 kg x 3 + 2,5 kg x 10

 

Comments: Mainly conditioning. Also nice to do some wristwork when I´m not currently bending.

Plate curls - Finally a nice plate to curl! The size is between a normal 5 kg plate other normal plates (10, 15, 20, 25 kg). Perfect size for me to do more strict curls than usual. A normal sized 10 kg plate will break my wrist.

Fatgrip Extreme Reverse Curls

Thumb pump - Nice way to hit thumb. My thumb doesnt like thumb screws so this is a perfect way to hit the thumb without going to hard on it. Thanks @mcalpine1986 for inspiration!

 

Comments: Didn´t do grip yesterday so I just had to today. Maybe a bit to hard since my plan was to kill #3 tomorrow. We´ll see what happens.

CoC #3 (152) 20 mm block - Didn't felt 100% today, fatigue and some other awkward feeling but hell yeah I did got some power anyway. Last set was 30 mm block.

Comments: Hopefully 7 training days this week. I think I'll skip grip tomorrow though and go for some fatbar on sunday. I'll do an effort to find my nails this weekend, maybe not bend but at least find them. Or else I order some new ones, not sure if I go IM again or maybe try FBBC.

No problem. Its a great exercise. Also great job on the plate curls. My fave exercise

Fits me perfect. I need something dynamic for the thumb/pinch and this did not cause me any pain. Hopefully there is some progress with the plate curls so I can develop some wrist strength. I really need to step up my bending. Not sure if I can keep up with you and pancho though.

Plate curls will help wrist strength for bending although its a different kind of wrist strength. Ive never tried bending but ive seen People who can do amazing bending things cant plate curl a 10kg plate so it is a different kind of stress. Remember with plate curls you need a strong thumb and good bicep strength as well. For my weight my pretty strong on biceps work.

Im aiming for 10 reps with the 15kg plate. 6reps so far for me. I need to do 10 to beat a guy on insta. Me and him are in a race to 10 reps.

Keep them up though. They are a real money love.

Comments: Tried to shot a movie to see if I'm ready for the MM0 or if there is anything to work on. The film was shit (you see nothing!) and this totally (bad word) up my gripsession. Lost all focus, no Oscar for me this year.

RH - Really good! Lots of air under both 70 kg and 72,5 kg. Not sure of all numbers, this was way out of my comfort zone. Looking forward to see the result of the "Hard to Handle" episodes regarding RH. Both my handles are in the comp so maybe I can do a RT estimate.

Platecurls - Not the usual plate. I think smaller diameter but a really annoying edge. Not as strict as previous session.

RH - Had some pain in my arm after last RH session so I just wanted to make sure everything is ok. Did not intend to got that hard today.

Comments: Training this early kills me but at least I get the job done. Gym seems pretty crowded at night.

DO - Took only 4 sessions to take down that first blue lol. I see people bend 10+ nails per session. Maybe I need to increase volume (double up?) to start progressing?

Comments: Really bad day at work. Gripwise it will be a couple off days off now, been hitting heavy lifts for almost 25 days in a row. Maybe something to just bleed through the muscles (I think any weightlifting will work as good as light grip work) but no hard workouts. I´ll hit grippers again in the end of week, hopefully with a bit more of success.

Comments: No use to use block today since I could feel the power was not there. Hopefully feeling better tomorrow, its time to for IM hub max! With the 155 so hard I think the close of my filed 162 wont happens this year. Anyway, wish list for December;

IM Hub +1,25 kg (both hands) - Don't remember last time I tried, this is a black spot.

IM Blockbuster + 1,25 kg (both hands) - Got air last time, not feeling 100% so this can actually go.

Silarukov 60 mm handle +2,5 kg (both hands) - Changed my grip a bit using the other handle hopefully this is paid of here.

CoC #3 (162, filed) (any hand) - Maybe I can recharge my grip with some rest, atm this feat looks very far away.

Comments: Hell yeah, after some bad sessions I might have pulled of my best (rather short though) gripper session ever. I didn't stress the set and the gripper sat very good in my hand. Have had some problems setting the gripper lately, especially in my right hand. The width for set 3 and 4 was way wider than 30 mm, I would say close to or even 40 mm +. Probably due to the nice set the closes where even not really hard. It is sessions like this that make one believe that the cert is actually possible one day in a galaxy far far away.

IM Blockbuster - Didn't even move 20 kg! Really weak today and after some tries thumb also started to complain. Not a fan of building a scrapyard with hundreds of handles but a 50 mm block could be a nice investment. 3" is just to much to handle, and I don't even have small hands!

CoC #3 (152) 30 mm block - Good! Same as last week, only 20 mm block on first set. Solid setting, but not the same power and setwidth as in the close as last week.

Platepinch (1 x 50 kg) - This was not according to plan but I just had to try a lift. I think RH is good to go also but I was in a rush and doing it on wooden floor so I was a bit careful. One smooth surface and one with an edge.

LH: 1

RH: 0 

 

Comments: Struggeling whether I I should go for one or two gripper sessions a week. This month is only about hitting a new pr and there are some possibilities:

#3 (152) 20 mm block 3 reps

#3 (155) 30 mm block 1 rep

#3 (162) filed 1 rep

As for the moment I think this is the only pr I'm able to hit this year.
