Andrew Durniat was talking about how he likes to do these at Gripmas. I think it may have even been you and me talking to him when he was talking about them. I need to try these out.

Sold mine some time ago as I rarely hub anymore and prefer to use actual plates when I do. Will have to see how my custom plate mount hub will carry over. I think John is gonna school us all. - Aaron

acorn
Gonna be interesting for me. I took a 6 month layoff from grip and training after nationals, don't have a IM pinch block (using 4' long piece of thickwall 3x6 steel tubing and stacking plates on top on either end), Don't have an IM hub (home made one that bolts to plate stack solidly instead) and just made myself a anvil horn similar to the IM one over this last weekend and have never pulled on one before. I just hope to not embarrass myself too much.

If I cant ill just be cheering you guys on. I really hope to make it, my wife’s medical issues are the only thing keeping from a solid yes. I weigh 177 now; do you have a list of the weight classes? I am looking to lose some weight for health purposes anyway (I'm only 5'6 so I'm on the heavy side for my height), and it might make sense if the next lower weight class is attainable that I shoot for that for February 24. Got an IM block for xmas, ordered a hub and loading pin that will arrive tomorrow, and picking up Olympic plates this week also -- Never tried either but I love grippers and the two-hand pinch lifts, so I will like them as well. I'm getting so into this grip stuff, it is addictive and yet healthy!
