Octogen
Ok I can do IM blues down to 5 1/2" consistently but I can't get a kink in grade 5s that allows me to go double overhand to crush them down. I bent one to 40 degrees in a vice today and then managed to crush it down fairly easy but I can barely get a tiny kink with my hands. I bend terminator style to start all my bends, any suggestions? SqeezeMasterFlash
Yes, more sledge work! I was destroying 5" blues several months before I was able to get a decent kink in a grade 5.
MikeP
Have you tried different styles or is that just the style you started with? I switched very early from term to double underhand and I did alot better. You may have to take a step back to take 2 forward though. Octogen
I'll add some more sledge work, I sort of figured that would come up I've tried the other styles but I'm not really comfortable with them, I might have to go back and try double overhand with some easier stock. I've tried stock down to 5" but it seems to make it heaps harder even for stock I can completely smash at 5.5" my hands just seem to fall off the ends of the piece or run into each other during crushdown. Thanks for the feedback guys
