About 20 years ago I bought something called the Geneb Web.  I don't know if it is still available.....I still have it though, and it is pretty useful.

Basically it is a steel circle, about 18" in diameter.  The hole of the circle is filled with rubber, and the rubber is full of holes......You put your fingers in the holes and you can push/pull them in any direction.  You can just do the tips of the fingers, or further down near the knuckles....pich grips, claw grips.....all kinds.

It has no way to measure any improvement, but you can exercise your hands in such an amazing variety of ways.  One to look out for!

i had bought something years ago called the "eagle grip" made by strong hands.

a round 1" thick hard rubber with 5 finger and 7 thumb holes.

it, also was for working the grip and seemed to emphasize the whole hand with all the many positions possible, not just crushing grip.

Brian, the thing you talk about is available on rehab sites.  If I am right I think it is good for the the finger extensors.

Aiken, I think the product you talk about is on sale in martial arts shops.
