deaner
Anyone know the strength of a 12" x 3/8th" spike, with twists? Its like a giant 8 twist timber tie. Fun sucker to bend. I have 14, 12, and 10 inchers without the twists too, any help with their strengths would be appreciated.
deaner
Actually, I have a 12", 10", and 8".Got the 12"er half way today. can't imagine bending the 10" or 8".
Big Steve
Don't really know the strength of them. I have only tested 1 piece of 10 by 3/8 it was at about 720 inch #s to 120 degrees. I have found that spikes very a lot from batch to batch even from the same company.
deaner
i can consistantly bend the 12"ers halfway but thats all. It should get easy at that point, but they don't budge. Great workout trying though.
deaner
The twisted 12"ers are real easy though and they look really cool to the average joe. I have to get that 12" spike though cuz it's eating at me.
