JustinH
I have read that it is best to start with a 8lb sledgehammer. Would it be better to buy a heavier one and just start with your grip closer to the head? I just don't really want to end up buying too many sledgehammers. mingmen
choking up should be fine. Why blow the dough unnecessarily? That's just my take though.

SqeezeMasterFlash
There's nothing wrong with choking up, but you'd be surprised how much you have to choke up on a 16 when you've never trained them before. Besides, it looks cooler to lever them from the end, no matter what the weight
