Anyone interested in getting together for dinner the Friday before the Contest?

Definitely. Rick Walker brought up the idea of a meet-and-greet on Friday and everyone in chat at the time thought it would be a great idea.

I have a very nice banquet hall set up for us the nite before.

What do you gusy want to eat?

I know there are some people who want to do some feats the nite before while their hands are still fresh. This would be a great time to do it.

Sounds like a plan! Though it's a ~4 hour drive from the airport.

Do you think I should have it moved back an hour?

Let me know what you are thinking.

Whatever you want bro, we'll be there eventually. Just save us a plate if you can. :D

I've been told it's a 5 hour drive and if I come (I'll be confirming this friday once I've rested from the European) I'd want to EAT!! However, experience tells me to do your best you do NOT want to do anything pre-event feats wise except warm up.

Guys,

Who is coming to the pre-contest dinner? I need you to make a post here what you want to eat, either beef or turkey.

Thanks,

10pm?? I'll be wanting a snack and bed then. I was hoping for 8.30pm. After all it's a 3 and a half hour drive and the latest the guys are supposed to be arriving is 5pm. Mind you I'm not driving so I'm grateful for the help I'm getting but 10?? I'm up at 6.30am UK time, then it's a 10am flight to Paris, a 10.40am flight to Pittsburgh (10 hours 30 mins) arriving 3-3.30 local time and then waiting for 2 of the three guys. By 10pm I'm gonna be dead tired...

Aw man, here we go. Steve is already giving us excuses. If he doesn't do well at the contest all we're gonna hear about is how badly the time zones messed with him. ;)

Hopefully Steve will get through customs with a slice of humble pie. :)

We won't be leaving the airport until about 5:30-6:00. From what I understand (smitty or Jedd please confirm) the airport is about 4 hours away. I'm not one to drive the speed limit, so it probably won't take us that long, but as I said, I'm shooting to have us there around 10pm... at the latest.

A question was posed to me and I guess I wasn't clear about something.

The dinners must be paid for by each individual. Is that going to be a problem?
