ishred
In order to keep going up in block weights without buying more (no spare cash), i have drilled a hole in my 27.5lb blob and threaded it to accept a 3/8" bolt. So with a bolt and a heavy washer i can add plates to my blob. YEY... altough the actual blob is not a feat which i can accomplish (barely get my hands wrapped on a york 40lb) i will be able to get my hands to that strength and more. woohoo. maidenfan
Nice job. One thing that I recently tried, and will start doing, is blob tossing. Pinch it up then toss it over to your other hand and pinch catch it. It makes my hands really feel they got a workout! Much more so than simply DL it. ishred
sounds like fun...the only problem i have is my neighbors downstairs. would be funny though if i kept dropping a 30lb piece of steel from 5 feet up.
Zevich
Ishred what is the measurement of the 40 lb York? Since I can't get any where I live maybe I can copy it if I know the dimensions. Thanks.

Vice
Another method that I used to add weights onto my hex blobs, was to buy industrial strength velcro, that they sell at Home Depot or Lowe's. The industrial strength kind is strong enough to hold 5 or 10 pound plates pretty easily, and its easy to take them off or put them back on. I used this velcro to install a heavy mirrored medicine cabinet in one of my bathrooms. The walls are vinyl paneled, and I was too lazy to find studs and drill. It has been there for 2 years. T!
