Grip/strength Gathering With Steve B

I went to Steve B's house last friday and we worked out for hours! We started with log presses and i worked up to a 250 press. i narrowly missed 275 and i shouldered 300. I used my thick lifting belt and i ended up pinching the hell out of my stomach trying to shoulder 320 (stupid belt...) We then did some farmers holds, and i picked up 310 in each hand with 1 1/2" handles, but it was tough to hold onto them! We did tons of pinch gripping, Steve managed to pinch 2 35s and to a 40 pound hub lift (not with the Ironmind hub, but actual plate hubs, which are a little bigger than 3"). I managed to do a neck-strap lift of 260, and i got 300 a half-inch above the ground. Ow.

We did some 3" thickbar deads and some Rolling thunder work. We both maxed at 150 on the rolling thunder and also 150 on a 2 1/2" handle made by beefbuilder. We played with tons of grip toys and exchanged grip tips and i showed him some bending stuff. By then our stomachs were growling like wild bears so we went in to get ready to eat.

He actually had a beefbuilder Galaxy. I shall never speak of it again.....just horrible. :help

Afterwards, our hands were fried and Steve barbecued some king sized hamburgers. :rock I got to read thru Brookfield's famous books as we chatted about many aspects of the iron game. I ate 2 and a half burgers, but with steve's encouragement, i finished the third one. Afterwards, I ate a ton of candy including the finest selection of Jawbreakers, Life Savers, and Nerds. We finished the night with some videos of Steve when he was a bodybuilder (he looked awesome), and some awesome World's Strongest Man (and woman) clips.

The burgers were truly awesome.

Thanks, Steve!
