The Most Bizarre Technique

How's this for a form. I take the steel with my left hand overhand. Right hand is more thumb up (about a 90 degree rotation forward from the left). Then extend the left arm almost fully at about a 45 degree angle out at just above shoulder height & crank the steel. I've bent 5.5" x 1/4" Crs & kinked a 7" x 5/16".

I like the crazy and strong style of the old time nail bender on the Pathe archive site, using a 60D unbraced, he would slightly bend it, turn it, bend it again, etc...until it snapped in under 10 seconds! I know from experience how tough it is to fight an existing bend, hold the nail tightly, and get it to bend in a different direction.

That is the link, look for the fouth video up from the bottom. You have to register to download the free video, but everything is free for the registration process.

That site is amazing, look around, classic videos of Inch and many others!

Tom Black's method gets my vote for the "most painful" bending method ever.

One piece of advice: ease into it!!!!!

:D I don't know, over the thumb seems more painful too me. I've experimented with nearly every technique I can think of and still like my original way the best.
