smitty Posted June 18, 2004 Share Posted June 18, 2004 Haven't bent in 8 months (the best I ever bent before was a 5.25" Blue), but tonight Jedd says, "I gotta bend something!!!!". We just got done with some strongman training and were warmed up really well (it is about 75deg and 90% humidity!) We both hit 60's, Jedd bends old style Terminator and I hit the 60 new style Terminator. They were going down pretty easy and I tried one underhand - smoked it....Jedd yells "grab a f*cking grade 5 bitch!!". Wrapped that shit up tight (2 - 4"x8" pieces of towel and 2 - 4"x8" IM rag) with a little chalk and grabbed it double underhand, put it above my head and dropped the hammer. It paused for a second and U'd!!! I started psyching out and chest crushed it no problem!!! Went on to hit another 6" and took down a 5.5" Grade 5, but couldn't quite chest crush it (Jedd finished it). Jedd went on to kink a grade 8!!! All this and we haven't bent in 8 months!! I was very surprised, but definitely not complaining. I guess my other training efforts play some roll in the bending afterall. Awesome!
