slipgrip
I just did my first 1/4 " round. Kinda long to start with (9 3/4 " ) but it is a start. I will decrease length by 1/4" till I get down to 5". Two months bending so far. 5/16 is a loooong way off. Forget the good ole days: I am making better ones now. slipgrip

bencrush
Good job on the 1/4" HRS. Probably sooner than you think you'll be bending much shorter. Don't get in too much of a rush. Taking your time kills all steel.
Octogen
slipgrip, good work on the 1/4". Have you been bending any 3/16"? I found that doing plenty of volume with 3/16" stock over a month allowed me to jump from a 9" piece of 1/4" stock to bending 7" pieces and shortly after a grade 2.
