how much harder is a grade 5 than an 8? i bent a grade 5 on the 27th of may. havent found a grade 8 yet, but want to bend one.

Grade 8 is substantially harder. I can do a 5 on a good day, but haven't put more than a tiny kink in a grade 8

The Grade8 is much harder than a G5.

Once you can go through some 5.5" Grade 5 bolts then you are getting close to the Grade 8.

Congrats on the Grade 5 bend.

found a place with grade 8. bought 5 of em will try one soon. less than a month i'll get it.

good freakin luck with the grade 8s. Imagine you are camping and you stumble into a bear. You shoot him in the balls and he starts running toward you. He breathes fire, too. The effort to then kill him with your bare hands is approximately as much as you need to also bend a grade 8 bolt.

today after killing a 6" and a 5.5" grade 5, i decided to give it a shot. kinked it. maybe fresh i could have got it, maybe..

anyone know the approximate poundage to bend a grade 8? i saw somewhere that a g5 was 345# and the red about 400#
