Matt Brouse Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Hello all! I am looking to get one of Brookfield's book and I am leaning toward Mastery of Handstrength but I want to see what everyone thinks. Which one of his bigger books would be better to get? Personal opinions on these books? I realize this might be more fitted for the the equipment forum but I figured I would try here first. Also my introduction is on Sybersnott's post. thanks fellahs Quote 2013 Grip Goals DO Axle 450 - Current 413 Gripper 190 - Current 173 2HP 220 - Current 210 Total 860 - Current 796 Little Big Horn 240 - Current 215 IM Hub 70 - Current 55
Bearcat 74 Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Mastery of Hand Strength is better IMHO. The GMM is pretty good, but I still like to read MOHS. If you can afford it, get both. They compliment one another well. Quote Real Name: Heath Sexton Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
Matt Van Weele Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 I have both and though the the his first book was the better of the two. AP Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 The Brookfield books are great and they have a lot of good info in them. I have MoHS on my coffee table right now. But honestly, and I'm going to go out on a limb here, there's a lot more information here on the g-board for free. It's not as easy sometimes to search around and it takes a bit longer to find out what's out there, but the gripboard has much, much more information than either these books. If you've got the extra dough though, people seem to prefer MoHS. Quote Pastrami on Wry

Matt Brouse Posted May 4, 2004 Author Posted May 4, 2004 Thanks again guys. I was kind of leaning towards MOHS. My reason for wanting the book is that, well first I enjoy reading on this stuff, but also I like to have literature that I can just reach over and grab if I need it, rather than trying to find a computer and get online all the time. But there does seem to be quite a bit of info available on this here web and this here site. uppy Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 (edited) If your primary interest is grippers, you will get a lot more information out of KTA. Edited May 4, 2004 by uppy Quote
Matt Brouse Posted May 5, 2004 Author Posted May 5, 2004 Well my primary interest is the grippers at this point simply because I have not had the resources to persue much else at this point.
