In the mohs book by John Brookfield I read that the only ones he knew of that could bend the 100 penny nail were himself and Slim the hammerman farman.

Have any of you red nail bender's tried the 100d?

Wow this is wild I came across this today during

a search. I think maybe John said Slim was the only man he knew that could bend a 100 penny nail. I maybe wrong, but I think thats what I read.

For John Brookfield and Slim that would be braced. I've never been able to get beyond the sticking point with the 12"x3/8" nail, but I've only tried 2 different brands. Doubt if there's an "easy" one out there, however. :D I've been doing some other things now, not much bending so I wouldn't watch for me to do it.

Big Steve and Terminator bend them, don't forget, MOHS was written about 1998. Even at that time I think Brookfield missed Stanless Steel, who was already bending them. Stan has actually bent them into an "S" shape!
