bigmatt Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 I was looking in to getting some stuff from “brutestrength”! i.e. Econo-Farmer's Walk, Competition Log 12” and Dumbbells. Dose any one had any of these products and if so what do you think? Thank you!! Matt Boston MA! Real Name: Matt English 6'1" and a "FAT" 363lbs My goal is to have a GOAL! John Eaton touched my hand once... Now I have the power!!
CMunger Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 I've got a 10" competition log, I like it. If I could hop in a time machine, i think I'd have maybe done an 8", because that's more common in contests. 12" in contests is pretty damn rare. Gunther says: "Stand up to cyber-bullies."
danegarreau Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 I recently won a pair of econ farmers walks in the equipment raffle, as soon as they get here i will let you know how they are. My Gallery- http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?act=mod..._album&album=30
bigmatt Posted April 9, 2004 Author Posted April 9, 2004 Thanks for the 411! Boston MA! Real Name: Matt English 6'1" and a "FAT" 363lbs My goal is to have a GOAL! John Eaton touched my hand once... Now I have the power!!
Clay Edgin Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 At the strongman contest I went to last month, we used the Brute Strength competition farmers and the 8" competition log. Both good, solid products. My biggest complaint was with the handles on the FW. I am used to having at least some knurling and the slightly-larger-than-1" handles sat awkwardly in my hands.
odin Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I ordered a DB from Lance. It should arrive next week and I will let you know how I like it. Spoiler Bob Sundin 5'11 and 162 lbs. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC7AZdUkf0aEDB3ET4UhU3Bg/videos
showlarson Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I am picking up the 12" comp log from them Easter monday. Looks good and has been a pleasure to deal with. Shane Larson "Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional."
showlarson Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Got the log. Great product! Very well made and balanced. Thanks Lance. Shane Larson "Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional."
gaster Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 I recently got the 8" econo log and Farmer's bars. I never told Lance, but I'm happy with my purchase. It's solid equipment that I could not have built myself. I have small hands, but I like 1.3" non-knurled handles. With a larger surface area they don't cut into my hands like the skinny tricep bars I had used before.
lancep Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Thanks a ton guys for the kind words. Bob, the dumbell is going out today. I am running a bit behind this week. My Training Journal Don't accuse nature, she fulfilled her task; you must fulfill yours. Hackenschmidt
bigmatt Posted April 14, 2004 Author Posted April 14, 2004 Thank you all for your help! I think I will put in an order soon!! Boston MA! Real Name: Matt English 6'1" and a "FAT" 363lbs My goal is to have a GOAL! John Eaton touched my hand once... Now I have the power!!
danegarreau Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Lance, any idea when my farmes will be going out? No rush, just wondering. My Gallery- http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?act=mod..._album&album=30
Davekline Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Hey Lance, any chance you could make a grip device to work the extensors? Life without iron would be a very weak alloy.
David Ostlund Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Joel Sward got a 10" econo log and a 2.5" bar from Lance. Great products. I wish I could've ordered a lot of my stuff there about three years ago, I would have saved a ton of money. I might have some interest in a Conan's in the future.
Bill Piche Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Lance, any idea when my farmes will be going out? No rush, just wondering. I just picked up on this thread. Yes, I am slow. This is not the brute strength order status forum.
