Vise Posted April 8, 2004 Share Posted April 8, 2004 i took a look @ the choker close collars @ pda, looked like a great idea but $20 for a large washer, come on. i was determined to find a replacement. i went to the hardware store to find a replacement and eventually did, of course, after accidently shooting several objects across the store , i found the answer a u-bolt w/a steel backplate (came w/it) , it cost me $1.50 (beats $20 any day). make sure to bring your gripper to the store to fit it and sorry about the long winded story. what's a u-bolt? here's a picture: http://www.ubolt.com/Default.htm Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have a choker as well as the washer and I think the washer is as good a solution for $.97. That being said I think PDA might want to consider changing the holes on one side of the choker's restricter plate, making them 1/2 as far as the other side. br765 Posted April 17, 2004 Share Posted April 17, 2004 I tried a hose clamp also, but you have to be careful because the metal band of the clamp will cut into the aluminum of the grippers handle.
