Wanna Be
Copied from previous post: " Once again, pardon my ignorance, folks. Are we talking about pinch gripping(hex end) a 50 lb dumbbell and raising it HOW high? +++++++ Wanna be, its pinch gripping half of a 100lb hex dumbell or 100lb york dumbell You saw the ends off and use them as block weights. the York blob has a flaring outward curve that makes it hard to get grip on and some of the hex dumbells are painted with a glossy hammertone paint that is very slippery but the sides of the hex blob are straight up and down which is generally considered easier to get a grip on. +++++++ " So, you cut the hex ends off the dumbbell and pinch the cut off end? How do you add weights to it as you mentioned for Wade(Gillingham?). Are there any pictures of the blob or the cut-off dumbbell on the net? SqeezeMasterFlash
Check my gallery. I've got a pic of a 40lb york blob with weight added with ropes. Also check out Richard Sorin Hex Lift to see Richard Sorin lifting half of a 110 hex head with magnetic weights attatched.
